Course Information

At the beginners course you will learn the following:

 

    • How to shoot correctly with good technique.

    • Safety procedures and equipment maintenance.

    • One day instruction and coaching from qualified coaches.

    • All archery equipment will be supplied.

    • At the end of the beginner’s course, we will invite you to join the club. You will shoot with other members of the club on a Saturday afternoon under the guidance of the club coaches.

Course fee is non-refundable $85 paid in advance on registration for a one-day course per person.
Participants are encouraged to use the club’s bows before considering purchasing their own.
The course is run by fully accredited level 1, 2 and 3 coaches who will support and encourage all participants.
The course is open from 8:30am to 11:30 am on the dates below for people aged 10 and up.
Parents must accompany any children from the age of 14 years and under while their child is under instruction at the course.
Registration with payment must be completed by one week before the course and is important as each course is restricted to a maximum of 10 People. The first 10 to make payment will be accepted.

Course Registration

 

    • The course fees MUST be paid before completing the Course Registration Form.

    • Each student MUST complete a separate Course Registration Form.

    • The bank payment reference number MUST be included in the Course Registration Form prior to submitting the form.

Buying your Own Gear

 

 

We strongly recommend that you do not rush out and buy a bow from trading post, eBay, garage sale or second-hand dealer. You don’t have to rush out and buy your own archery equipment initially. The club has a range of equipment that it hires out to beginners and members. After the completion of the Beginners Course the cost is $20 per day for equipment hire. Novice archers and beginners are given sound advice from senior coaches on the right equipment to purchase. The first decision you have to make is what type of bow you want to shoot, and we can help with that to Course Fee Payment.
